"Love is Like Wind"
Love. Pure and delicate baby of the changing wind. Wind which blow and bring with it the dim scents of the changing seasons, & the smells of smoke, & frying pancakes, & warm bedclothes on a winter’s morning. Today, my love is somewhere in the air. But I am watching her too constantly and admiring her every move. Her hair tangled in the wind as candy floss. She moves her graceful fingers in dog’s fur; the dog whines; & her expression become complex with Love, concern and guilt. She looks up at me, her eyes, which are the blue green of the earth seen from a great height, shining. ‘Where is Timothy?’, ‘Where is Timothy?’ she clings to my sleeve. I admire her again & hold my six year old daughter in my arms & kissed her on top of her head. She doesn't know that I have lost my Love Timothy. I kissed her again, pouring her Mother’s Love at her. And wind blows with hot sharp scent making the palm itch, and the heart beat faster. For a time, then we stay. For a time. Till the wind changes.
